My name is Madison, and I will be attending university in North Carolina where I will be majoring in criminal justice while also playing soccer for the university. Volunteering has always been a big passion of mine and was always important for me during my high school career. I first began volunteering at Eastside Baby Corner where I organized donations of children’s items to send to mothers who cannot afford them for their kids. I then began to volunteer through the Athletes For Kids program where I was fortunate to have mentored a child with a disability and special needs. Thank you to Shamrock Charities for this amazing opportunity that will allow me to achieve my dreams in college!

The Shamrock Charities Scholarship Program encourages outstanding and spirited young people with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to make a positive impact on their communities and it honors them through its annual Scholarship Fund.

The Charity’s scholarships are awarded to further the educational needs of the recipients. We look for individuals who have given back to their communities through volunteering with a special emphasis on children or children’s charities. Applicants submit an application and an essay, and are interviewed to explain how their volunteer activities have benefited, and will continue to benefit, the lives of children.  

Shamrock Charities has long been involved with the sport of soccer as players, coaches, parents, and fans. Additional consideration is given to applicants who are, or have been, involved with soccer.
